SS-ES2 – Speaker Damping Kit
SS-ES2 is a high-performance butyl damping material designed to reduce vibration, resonance and unwanted panel noise. With a total thickness of 2.2 mm, it adds mass and damping to metal panels, helping improve overall sound quality and low-frequency performance.

Developed for speaker installations, SS-ES2 is ideal for treating the area around and behind speakers in doors and other panels. By reducing unwanted panel movement and the acoustic energy lost through vibration, it helps the speaker perform more efficiently, delivering tighter midbass, improved clarity and better output.

The highly flexible butyl construction provides strong adhesion directly to the surface and makes the material easy to shape and install on both flat and curved panels. The 80 micron aluminium foil adds strength to the damping layer while helping distribute vibration across the material.

Each pack contains two 500 × 400 mm sheets, providing 0.4 m² of damping material. This makes SS-ES2 ideal for treating one or two door speaker areas without having to purchase a full pack of damping material, making it a simple and effective upgrade for both DIY installations and professional workshops.
